 We've never seen each other face-to-face, but "met" on the web and became friends who share a commitment to artistic quality. At the time we were being marketed by a corporate web site that provided space and software that enabled buyers to pay for and immediately download our graphics (for a hefty commission, of course). After about a year, it became clear that we were there only as a drawing card for their large, subscription-based site. Input from contributers was gradually discouraged, and eventually all advertising was dropped. The upload tool we used to keep our content fresh was disabled. Still, against all odds we continued to sell at a slower but steady rate, until the site was closed down altogether, 2 weeks prior to Christmas, 2003... "to allow us to apply all of our energy on producing the web's... family of subscription-based graphic content sites." We were popular with buyers because we offered high quality art, and buyers paid only for what they used, so we were dangerous to the status quo... There we were, a small band of illustrators and photographers who had spent more than two years putting together useful, unique collections - and not one programmer in the lot! We searched for a solution, and finally found a way... Problem solved, here we are! We hope you like what you find here and will check back often, because we plan to keep adding to our collections.
